Clinical Placement Requirement At Chuk

1.Administrative requirements:

Copy of Passport/National ID#1

*Must Be pdf of file type and not more than 2Mbs Of file size.

The copy of the Student’s University enrollment card#2

*Must Be pdf of file type and not more than 2Mbs Of file size.

*The valid certificate of registration #3

-The valid certificate of registration (indexing for undergraduate students and valid Temporally licence which is given by one of the following Rwanda councils:
Rwanda Medical and Dental Council(RMDC),National Council of Nurses and Midwives(NCNM),Nationl Pharmacy Council(NPC) , Allied Health Professions Council(AHPC) to practice medicine for Residents or other licenced professionals). click on each council to visit their website.
*Must Be pdf of file type and not more than 2Mbs Of file size.

The valid criminal history record screening certificate;#4

*Must Be pdf of file type and not more than 2Mbs Of file size.

The valid medical certificate; #5

-This is a certificate from a doctor confirming the state of someone's health.
*Must Be pdf of file type and not more than 2Mbs Of file size.

The valid vaccination certificate for hepatitis B#6

*Must Be pdf of file type and not more than 2Mbs Of file size.

Application letter addressed to the Director General of the hospital#7

*Must Be pdf of file type and not more than 2Mbs Of file size.

Recommendation letter of the Clinical Placement from the University#8

*Must Be pdf of file type and not more than 2Mbs Of file size.

The payment slip for the Clinical Placement fees #9

- The Payment slips for the required placement fee detailed as the following:

* 80 USD per month of clinical placement for students from East African Community (EAC) member states.
*250 USD per month of clinical placement for foreigner students including post-graduate students.

A.The Student’s practical kit To All

i.A clinical coat or scrub uniform
ii.A stethoscope  
iii.A reflex hammer
iv.An examination torch
v.A measuring tape
vi.A goniometer
vii.A notebook for taking notes.
viii.A hand sanitizer (Alcohol gel) and lotions as necessary

B.Specific for nursing Students:

In addition to the above items nurse students are required to bring
i.An otoscope,
ii.A Digital Thermometer,
iii.A portable sphygmomanometer.
iv.An Oxygen Saturometer
v.A Stopwatch

*Others items as may be necessary according to the discipline and or the specific placement.
